Why Ice Cream is Popular in Utah
Did you know that people (myself included) eat more ice cream in the winter? Well, we probably eat more of everything in the winter:) It’s true. As humans, we tend to eat more food in colder climates. Ice cream is a popular comfort food. It makes sense that we would eat more of it when it’s cold and need to be comforted (because well… it’s cold!).
Utah’s rich ice cream culture doesn’t disappoint. There are great ice cream places across the entire state. The frozen creamy goodness spans from “Aggie Ice Cream” in Logan to “Nielsen’s Frozen Custard” in Salt Lake City, and let’s not forget the local favorite, “Peach City” in Brigham City or Farrs Ice Cream in Ogden! (don’t worry all of these are on the list below!).
As a Utah resident for the last 30+ years, I’ve had my fair share of good ice cream. I’m also married to an ice cream lover and we raised four little ice cream addicts 🙂
So, without further ado, I’m sharing the best ice cream spots in Utah. Plan to try one (or several) on your next trip!
And this goes without saying but you will want to pin this post so you can access it later! Because you know you’ll be back!
